How It All Began

The Lemonade Sistas started with two sisters, Alacyn and Karleigh Brown, and a simple summertime idea: selling fresh, ice-cold lemonade to their community. What began as a fun project quickly grew into something bigger. With determination, creativity, and support from family and friends, the sisters set up their stand at local events, festivals, and community gatherings.

Their lemonade became more than just a drink—it was a way to bring people together. Over time, the stand grew into a recognizable small business that inspired other young entrepreneurs in the Magic Valley.

Why We Changed Our Name

As the sisters expanded their flavors, experimented with new drink creations, and began offering more than just lemonade, the name “Lemonade Sistas” didn’t quite capture everything they were about anymore. To reflect their growing menu and vision, they rebranded as Sista’s Mix & Sips.

The new name celebrates their creativity—mixing flavors, adding unique twists, and serving sips that everyone can enjoy.

Still the Lemonade Sistas at Heart

Even with a new name, Alacyn and Karleigh will always be proud of where they started. The name Lemonade Sistas will forever be a part of their story and identity. It’s the foundation of their journey as young entrepreneurs, and they’ll always be known as the sisters who started it all with a pitcher of lemonade and a dream.

What We Stand For

At the heart of our mission is a simple yet powerful belief: young people deserve the chance to dream big, take action, and achieve success.

That’s why we were proud to support in 2025 Sission House Concurrent Resolution 11 with the help of Representative Josh Wheeler, a measure that recognized the importance of youth entrepreneurs across Idaho. This resolution shined a spotlight on the value of kids learning business skills early, while also raising awareness about the unnecessary barriers that can hold them back.

But this is only the beginning. Our vision is to see Idaho – and eventually all states – pass laws that protect and empower youth entrepreneurs. We believe young people should be able to start and grow their businesses without being burdened by red tape. At the same time, we are committed to making sure they have access to the tools, mentorship, and solid foundation they need to turn their ideas into real success stories.

We stand for a future where every child with a dream has the chance to bring it to life, where entrepreneurship is encouraged, and where the next generation of leaders, creators, and innovators are given the space to shine.
